Hello beauties! As some of my followers know I am extremely obsessed with the original Lorac PRO eyeshadow palette. I saw that Lorac came out with the Unzipped palette (slightly more rose tones) and the NEW Lorac Unzipped Gold palette. Once I saw the Gold palette I knew I needed to get my hands on it! My two best friends and I decided that this palette was a must-have to add to our makeup collections!
Once again, the pigmentation is UNREAL and unbelievably buttery! Shown here are Unleashed, Unlimited, and Unlocked.
A little sample of last nights look for our girls night out! I used Undeniable in the crease, Unleashed on the lid, Unlocked on the center of the lid, and Unedited in the corner of the eye. I apologize for the lighting being a little bit off! Boooooooo.
Such a fun night with these gorgeous girls! Have you tried the new Lorac Unzipped or Unzipped Gold? What are your thoughts?

I’m pretty picky when it comes to mascara and I never ever gravitate towards a rubber brush. Most of them tend to hurt my eye area and lashes! My eyes are pretty sensitive since I’m a contact lens wearer and I can’t stand a mascara with a scent to it. This mascara was purchased from Target for around $6 and I couldn’t decide between this one and The Rocket. I chose this one because of the curved brush which is something I don’t usually go for. This is one of the BEST mascara a I’ve ever tried! The formula is amazing, no harsh scent (like with the Maybelline Colossal) and it is extremely pigmented. I’m so glad I chose this one and I will repurchase once it’s out.
Two is better than one.
My all time HOLY GRAIL is the Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black. This mascara really thickens the lashes and extends them while the Maybelline separates, curls, and perfects. They’re the perfect pair!
What’s your favorite mascara?
Hello lovelies! Just wanted to share with you a must have for dry winter skin. I live in the Midwest and a couple weeks ago it was -40 degrees with the wind! You read that right, negative forty. Our skin needs moisture and when we aren’t getting as much it becomes dry and flaky, and let’s be real no one has time for that! It’s so important to exfoliate your skin about once a week to slough off that dull skin and reveal a fresh beautiful body. I personally have been enjoying my Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub which retails for around $7 at Ulta (buy one get one half off) and comes in a variety of scents. Mine is the coconut lime scent which reminds me of sweet summer! This brand has the best scrubs I’ve ever tried and really get the job done!
Let me know if you have tried this body scrub and what your favorite scent is! Or if you have any other pampering must haves for winter skin! I love reading comments.
Ah, you guys! I have been wanting to write about this for quite some time. Everyone has heard about the Lorac PRO palette and the second one, but I personally couldn’t stray away from my orginal NAKED palette. I debated for quite some time, to get it or not to get it and finally one day I threw my hands in the air and said “screw it!” and purchased it from Ulta, which retails for $42. BEST. DECISION. EVER! This palette has seriously replaced all my others and is now my “go to” for creating any makeup looks. It’s freakin’ gorgeous and buttery rich! I may have gone to palette heaven 🙂 Continue reading
For those of you that can relate to the struggle that oily skin causes know how much it’s a hassle! I’m constantly running to the bathroom all day and blotting, blotting, blotting. The struggle is real. Fortunately, I have found some foundations that really do combat oil throughout the day! I picked my #1 high-end and my #1 drugstore foundations.
Drugstore // Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous!
This foundation retails for around $7 at the drugstore. My shade in this foundation is 305 which is a literal perfect match. Not only do I struggle with oily skin, but finding a foundation that can match my skin tone can be tricky as well. This foundation literally lasts all day for me and helps suck up oils resulting in less blotting throughout the day. It glides on very smooth and buffs in beautifully. It kind of reminds me of the Clinique Stay-Matte foundation in shade Sand that retails for $23! I honestly like the Covergirl more 🙂 if you have normal to oily skin and are looking for a GREAT drugstore foundation pick this one up!
This palette can only be purchased from Sephora online or right from Too Faced’s website. I’m a such a sucker for a great eyeshadow palette and I have to admit I never tried the first Too Faced Chocolate palette. Once I saw the new one, I knew I had to get my hands on it!
This palette is free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates! It retails for $49 and comes in a variety of 16 antioxidant-rich matte and shimmer shades. When I ordered the palette I received a free deluxe sample of the Too Faced eyeshadow primer as well. When I opened the palette the smell of cocoa immediately filled my senses! It was such a pleasant surprise considering I never owned the first palette. Almost all of the eyeshadows are highly pigmented and are extremely buttery and apply nicely to the lid. The only shade that poses a problem for most people, especially those with a fair complexion, is the shade Pink Sugar which tends to lose all color quality and is mostly just glitter. With my medium/tan skin this shade shows up a little better on me than most people. You can enhance the color payoff my spraying MAC Studio Fix Plus on your eyeshadow brush to wet the pigment. The palette has two larger shadows that are used as highlighters Butter Pecan (shimmer) and Coconut Creme (matte) – one of my favorite shades in the palette is Peanut Butter which is GORGEOUS and works beautifully as a transition shade for the crease. There are a ton of looks that this palette can create and it is definitely worth the money. Mine was a Christmas gift from the hubby and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the palette! I’m pretty picky when it comes to eyeshadows and it’s hard to stray away from my favorite palettes like the original Naked and the warm palette from Morphe Brushes. If you’re looking for a fabulous neutral palette to try that smells amazing and has high pigmentation this palette is wonderful! Combined with an eyeshadow primer this shadow didn’t budge and lasted me all day.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is crease-proof, long-wearing, non-comedogenic. Dermatologist tested and free of alcohol and fragrances.
I was apprehensive to try this concealer, because my holy grail for years has been the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer that can be purhcased from the drugstore for around $7. I decided to give the NARS concealer a try, but I was mostly apprehensive because of the price which retails for a whopping $29 that I purchased from Sephora. The claims for this product is that it is extremely hydrating which is key for the delicate under eye area and that it has “light diffusing technology.” The coverage of this concealer is buildable and ranges from medium to full. It claims to blur any imperfections and hide fine lines and wrinkles. Since I am fairly young I only use concealer to help mask under eye circles to look more awake and refreshed. This concealer definitely did the job for me and really product a lot of light to my face. The shade Custard was absolutely perfect for me and this can be used to highlight parts of the face as well since it’s perfect for all skin types. I will have to use the product a bit longer to see if this will be a repurchase. The product is perfection, but the price is a little steep when my Maybelline concealer is so great!
Here is the look I was able to achieve trying out my brand new Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar palette and NARS Creamy Radiant Concealer in the shade Custard – please excuse my bed head. I used Butter Pecan to highlight my brow bone, Bon Bon on my lid, Peanut Butter for a transition shade, Frosting on the outside corner and in the crease, and Hot Fudge on the outside V. Both products are highly recommended!
Let’s try this again as my first blog wouldn’t show publicly to you guys! With the start of the brand new year I’ve finally decided to develop my very first beauty blog. This has been something I’ve pondered about for a long time and I’ve just decided to dive right in now that I’ve graduated college and started my career. I’m a makeup and skincare lover through and through and I enjoy helping my friends and family with choosing the best products that suit them and their skin types. People near and dear to me frequently ask for my advice or opinion on what could be the best for them and I’m always happy to help! I’m constantly purchasing and trying new products myself and I’m always sharing my opinion with my loved ones. I would like my thoughts and experiences to reach a lot of women (or men) that are looking for help as well. Why waste time and money on something if it’s not going to work for you? I know first hand how difficult it is for women with tan skin to find shades that work for them and I also know the struggle of having extremely oily and sensitive skin. I plan to post about all things makeup, skincare, DIY, and anything about my personal life as well. Let’s start this beautiful journey 🙂
